My New Years Wish for 2012

I can see this New Year clear
The time for wishes growing near
So let me take this time to say
May your New Year be happy in every way
Here are my wishes just for you
In hopes that they will see you through
May your New Year be filled with love
With numerous blessings from above
May you find all that you seek
Especially your smile when all seems bleak
May your faith make everything clear
May you find happiness in the coming New Year

Merry Christmas 2011 poem and video ecard: Christmas And Children

By Lama Kalla On December 26, 2011 No Comments

Christmas and children
Children love Christmas and Christmas loves children
And both bring smiles to our merry red faces
The tales of Christmas can’t help but make them grin
As they dream of Santa and faraway places
The children are dazzled by ornaments and bows
And the decorations that light up the street
With each passing day the anticipation grows
Until Christmas morn when visions and reality meet
The twinkle in a child’s eyes at Christmas time
Has the power to warm us to the bone
And the magical moments we all seek to find
Are found right there in our very own home

Merry Christmas 2011 poem and Video ecard: Christmas Memories

By Lama Kalla On December 26, 2011 No Comments

Christmas Memories

As Christmas nears once again
My mind drifts back to years gone by
Back long before I was even ten
The memories bring a tear to my eye

Christmas past was such a happy time
With all my family by my side
Real Christmas trees made of pine
Snow flakes falling softly outside

As I look back and recall the season
It was not really about presents or gifts
In my heart I have realized the reason
And it gives my Christmas spirit a lift

Christmas is about the love we share
About spending time with family and friends
A season to show how much we care
Christmas is a good time to make amends

Christmas memories make me sad and blue
For family, friends and youth no more
But I am making new Christmas memories too
And that makes my Christmas spirit soar

Short Rhyming Love Poem: Enduring Love

By Lama Kalla On November 26, 2011 No Comments

Enduring Love

These many years with you
Surviving push come shove
A bonding warm and true
Testament to our enduring love

Began as two souls so long ago
But time has merged us as one
Enduring love found room to grow
Bringing comfort to our setting sun

Happy Father’s Day: The Daddy Versus The Father

By Lama Kalla On June 10, 2011 No Comments

By Will Curl

I have often heard those around me debating which is more valuable, a Daddy or a Father. It seems that many believe they are two different people. Some believe that anyone can be a Father but that it takes someone special to be a Daddy. Some make it known that the paternal holiday is called “Fathers Day’ and not “Daddy’s Day”. I find myself in amazement that the discussion even exists. Is there really a difference between a Father and a Daddy and if so what could it possibly be?

Those who say that anyone can be a Father are referring to the fact that most any man can father a child and therefore become a Father by title. However, others define a Father quite differently. For them the Father they honor on Fathers Day is the man who works hard to

Bonding With My Mother: A Daughter’s Tribute For Mothers Day

By Lama Kalla On May 6, 2011 No Comments

I am definitely my Mothers Daughter. I have picked up many of her traits and I am happy to say that they are traits to be proud of. My Mother is and will always be an inspiration to me. As another Mothers Day approaches I find myself reflecting on years past. As a small child I must have formed the normal bonds that are created between Mother and Daughter. However, as a teenager I seemed bent on breaking those bonds forever. Through it all my Mother displayed irrefutable patience and compassion. How she managed to do so will always be a mystery to me.

As a small child I wanted to be like my Mother. I wanted to dress like her, wear my hair like her and wear the same makeup. Although my Mother is a beautiful woman it has always been
