I’m sorry if I made you mad, you’ve always been the kind,

To help me out when things go bad,

To give me peace of mind.

I’m sorry if you feel I hurt, and betrayed a long time trust,

You believed in me and I let you down,

So, apologize, I must.

If indeed I err again, I’d like it if you’d say,

So that it never does recur, and I should also pray,

It never becomes, in any event

A sorry sort of day.
