Funeral Poems for Grandmothers: You Could Have Been Sleeping

By admin On July 20, 2010 Under Funeral Poems, Funeral Poems For Grandmothers

As I think back to that day
When I saw you lying there
You could have been sleeping
Peaceful without a care

Your time on earth was done
And now I shed tears of sorrow
Your time to rest had come
There was no more tomorrow

I will not forget that day Grandma
We left the cemetery weeping
And I kept thinking to myself
You could have been sleeping
