You knew one day this day would come
When I would marry the man of my dreams
It’s not about what I’m running from

I have learned well so have no fear
My marriage sparks an eternal flame
A bond that will grow stronger each year
With the man who gives me his name

This day begets lessons from you
A marriage that will last forever

You taught me what a Father should be
The difference between work and play
And now I see so much of you in me
On this well earned Fathers Day
