I love you so much indeed

You have inspired me to be

A woman who takes the lead

I have learned so much from you

Your example has been so clear

You take pride in all you do

And you never show your fear

Mom I love you with all my being

You’ve been a Mother and a friend

The things that you’ve been seeing

Are reflections of you in the end

My Daughter I love you so much
You are the very best part of me
Independence allows you no crutch
You’re all that I thought you would be

I am proud of the woman you’ve become
From womb to womanhood you’ve grown
To try to hold you back would be dumb
You want to make it on your own

Your maturity goes beyond your years
Your compassion is your guide
As your mother I will always have fears
